INTRO is an art organization working internationally with contemporary art projects.

The latest project we are working on now is Art_Value by artist Das Vegas. The project examines the notion of political economy in the realm of art processes, i.e. production, evaluation, circulation, and consumption. The economic standards and its influences on the art world and to creation, in general, is a key theme of the project. Critically appropriating principles of such dual discourse (capitalist influences, neoliberal values, political economy versus art), the artist seeks for a synthesis between those two different and opposite paradigms. The participant of the project activities is invited to rethink the existing connotations of those philosophical assumptions, elevating the moral and aesthetic values of such paradigm on a critical level.

2019.10 – ART_VALUE: AUCTION performance, Das Vegas artist, SLA Art Space, 307 W 30th St, Chelsea, New York, NY 10001, 2019-10-29 Tuesday, 6:30 PM – 10 PM.

We work on creating a short-term network of art institutions in Nordic and Baltic countries. The Art Value Network project aims to create discursive situations where participants and partner institutions could examine the valuation of art, the dilemmas around art and the financial world by exhibiting and thus disclosing monetary values of the artworks in the artworks themselves. This Baltic Network (https://balticnetwork.art.blog) happens on several occasions in the Baltics, the network is supported by the Nordic Culture Point and the Nordic Council of Ministers.

We invite artists and designers to submit art projects to the Arts Track exhibition at TEI 2018 conference - International Conference on Tangible, Embedded and Embodied Interactions with a theme on the post-digital condition, Stockholm, Sweden.
